Expand allMeet our representative on arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station, where you will be greeted well. Transfer to Bhalukpong, the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. After breakfast transfer to Dirang. On the way, visit Tipi On the banks of the river Bharali at an elevation of 190 meters having an Orchidarium with over 500 Orchids. On your next drive, take a break to visit Nag Temple. Check in to the hotel on arrival. Visit Apple and Kiwi farms in the afternoon (depending upon the season), Dirang Monastery, and Kalachakra Monastery. Overnight stay at Dirang.
Post breakfast, explore Dirang small hill station in West Kameng district. Its spectacular landscape and beautiful nature will surely please your eyes and comfort your body and soul. We will visit Kalachakra Gompa, also referred to as Dirang Monastery, and perceive the serene land. Witness kiwi orchids, then to Dirang Dzong (fort), which is about 150 years old and has an excellent view of the surroundings. Later, proceed to Tawang, with the mountain curving the river Kameng flowing along. Witness Sela Pass, the world second second-highest motorable road, with bright coloured flags fluttering all around at an altitude of 13,700ft. Know about the Jaswant Garh memorial-cum-mandir. Enjoy spectacular Nuranang Falls (Bong Bong Falls), 100m high. After this pulsating and soul-stirring journey, have a warm and comfortable overnight stay in Tawang.
This morning starts with a tasty breakfast. Post that, drive to a high altitude lake called as Shonga-tser Lake, popularly known as Madhuri Lake. Then drive to Sangetsar Lake, nestled amidst the pristine mountains and picturesque surroundings. Enjoy some Maggie and Momos in this area while watching war bunkers around. Drive further to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang. During the return, take a photo stop at the beautiful PTSO lake en route. Drive back to the hotel in the afternoon. Wake up and have a delicious breakfast. Transfer to Bomdila. (8,200 ft.). On arrival, check into the hotel. Visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa) and Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa) later, after relaxing. Evening, you can visit the local market and spend some time at leisure. Overnight stay at Bomdila.
Travel Time: 9–10 hours (depending on road and weather conditions) Morning: Departure from Bomdila 07:00 AM: Start your journey from Bomdila after breakfast. 11:00 AM: Quick tea break and refreshments en route. Afternoon: Lunch Stop 01:00 PM: Lunch at a suitable location on the way, such as Bhalukpong or Tezpur. Evening: Arrival in Shillong 06:00 PM: Arrive in Shillong. Check into your hotel and rest after a long journey. Optional Evening Activity: A walk at Police Bazaar or leisure time at Ward’s Lake (if time permits).
After breakfast, head to Cherrapunji to take a dip into nature’s serenity.Cherrapunji locally known as Sohra and is located at a distance of 56 kms from Shillong. On the way is the Mawkdok Valley, which is a prominent sightseeing attraction for tourists. Further, proceed for a visit to the Nohsngithiang falls (Seven sisters falls) which happens to be the symbol of the Unity of the Seven States of North East India. Next up, go for a visit to the Mawsmai Cave and Eco Park. Get back to the hotel for an overnight stay in Shillong.
An exciting day awaits you with a trip to Mawlynnong, Dawki, and the Living Root Bridge. After breakfast, get ready to explore the Mawlynnong Village. Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ was declared the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. Visit the Living Root Bridge located in the village of Rawai. The Indo-Bangladesh Border can be spotted from Mawlynnong. Head to Dawki and enjoy the scenic nature and the valleys around. Get back to the hotel for an Overnight stay in Shillong.
After a fulfilling breakfast, head to Guwahati Airport / Railway Station. Your tour concludes once you are dropped off at the Airport/ Railway Station for your onward journey. It’s now time to head back home with a Plethora of Good Memories.
