Expand allArrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the one-horned rhinoceros. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel or lodge. In the evening, enjoy leisure time or an Assamese cultural show (optional). Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Begin the day with an early morning jeep safari or elephant safari inside Kaziranga National Park to spot rhinos, wild elephants, swamp deer, and diverse bird species. After breakfast, check out and drive to Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East.” On the way, stop at Umiam Lake for a short break. Arrive in Shillong and check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. En route, stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for panoramic views. In Cherrapunji, visit Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and the Living Root Bridge (optional). In the evening, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Post breakfast, explore more of Cherrapunji including Arwah Cave, Eco Park, and Thangkharang Park. Later, drive back to Shillong and check in at your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring Police Bazaar or enjoying local cafés. Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. If time permits, visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple (on Peacock Island), or do some shopping at local markets before your departure from Guwahati Airport or Railway Station.
